It's like the old argument about a kid and a hot toaster. If you see a kid near a hot toaster, and you tell him not to touch it, what is the first thing that kid is going to do? They are going to touch it. The more you make something out to be something that needs to be stayed away from without really explaining it, like the Silver Ring Thing program does, the more desirable you make said activity. The kids are more curious due to their lack of education on the subject along with their natural youthful rebellion.
