Anyway... The thing that that I don't understand is why there is no real music anymore. Listen to the radio a little bit... hear what I mean? It's all totally linear and lifeless. They get a metronome going in the studio, get all the instruments playing one after another, and it turns out 100% processed and perfect, with no mistakes left uncovered by digital magic. If they would try to loosen up the recording process a little bit instead of keeping everything totally under control, the music would actually sound better. I'm sure there is some great underground music out there, and the fact that it's not what's popular is exactly why i'm .

You're right, but i wouldn't consider the radio a decent representation of the modern music scene. Good music exists, but more often than not it isn't on the radio.
It all sort of depends on what you like.
I personally can't stand a damn thing on the radio most of the time, but i listen to more new bands than old.
