Why don't they just take the script from a good movie and adjust it so that it has people from the video games? However awful it may turn out, it would be way better than something 'original'. They can use the script for Raiders of the Lost Ark for Castlevania.

Indiana Jones = Whatever member of the Belmont family

The Nazis = Skeletons!

The Ark = The cross you pick up that makes all enemies on the screen die
