There hasn't been a thunderstorm lately, has there? I lost my mobo to a lightning storm, and when your PC beeps at your more than once or twice (if it normally does that) it means that you have some kind of hardware error. I know that doesn't help a lot, but that may explain why removing the RAM made it worse. Perhaps your RAM slot/s have been fried by a surge?
