You get the same pay, regardless, don't you?
You don't have to cover for them. You don't have to bust your ass to do the work of two people, when that shithead teenager is going to be walking home with half the pay generated by all the work you did.
Fuck that shit. This is your manager's problem, not yours, and you really should make him or her aware that you don't mind hard work, but NOT when someone jacking around the entire shift is walking home with the same pay. You could leave it up to your manager to figure out on their own what the problem is, and just work like normal. Or you can just keeping sucking it up where it matters and continue venting about it somewhere it doesn't. <shrug> Your call.
