Ok, so who's seen this movie? I gotta say, it looks pretty godawful from the trailers. I don't care if Milla's in it or not, it just looks cheap. Still, it's the same guy who did Equilibrium, so I can't be sure. So to those of you who've seen it, what'd you think?

this movie just looks like a complete replay of Aeon Flux. I didnt even like Aeon Flux, anyway. dressing Charlize Theron up in a hot outfit just didnt make up for the fact that the acting and most of the fight scenes sucked.

I actually liked Aeon Flux and didn't think it deserved the harsh criticism it received (mainly because they didn't show it to the reviewers before it arrived in theatres). Either way, the cartoon is still much better.

Ultraviolet doesn't look even remotely good as Aeon Flux from the trailers.

I'm not really interested in this movie, but if it's a bit like Equilibrium it could be worth a watch.

Wow, doesnt Ultraviolet look like Motoko from Ghost in the Shell? It also looks like a cheap Live action Knockoff of Ghost in the Shell. Just pointing it out.

So I'll keep my paragrphs short so they don't run over.

Currently has a 6% rating on RottenTomatoes.

Even if you don't have high regard for RT or the reviews of critics,
that still says a lot in terms of overall quality.

User rating is 23% which against says something.

To compare, Equilibrium has a 34% critic rating,
and 82% user rating.

Edit: SomethingAwful Forums voting has it at 0.75/5.5

Unfortunately Chimp, as it turns out that's dead wrong. It's more like Underworld 2, The Matrix Revolutions, The Fifth Element and Equalibrium all got really drunk one night and had a mutated down syndrome baby together.

I thought it would be funny (which it was), so I went to see it. But then it made my head hurt, and suddenly it wasn't so funny anymore.

Its only saving grace was that it was only 1 hour and 25 minutes. It should have been shorter.

I wonder what all the hard core equilibrium fans have to say. All I'v been hearing since equilibrium came out was that if that wimmer guy got a budget, he would make the best movie ever. I'm wondering if he just got lucky. the whole idea for ultravoilet is stupid. there has to be a lot of crushed fans out there now.
