Old Mar 17th, 2006, 11:28 AM        What the hell is Operation Swarmer?
Yesterday the Pentagon was describing it as "The biggest air assault since 2003."

Well... yes... in that soldiers were transported there via helicopter. Reports today are that there ws no resistance, no casualties, and we detained 40 people, ten of whom we've already released.

I am not complaining about the lack of carnage. But it seems evident the Pentagon, which announced Swarmer with much fanfare, expected this to be something more than a round-up.

Anybody have any thoughts on what this is all about?
