No, the Darwin awards aren't merely natural selection. They are awarded to people so spectacularly stupid that their deaths and/or inability to procreate greatly improves the human race as a whole.
Also, kids aren't allowed to get Darwin awards, seeing as how they haven't fully developed mentally.
