David Copperfield

i was part of david copperfield's grand finale last year in branson. it was where a whole grandstand of people dissapear and then reappear up in the rafters of the stage.

after it was done we were all ushered back stage when we were told that we have to keep it secret, by one of the stage hands. then david copperfield came back and explained to us that he and his crew had worked for over a year on this particular stunt and he would be thankful if we didn't let the cat out of the bag. i asked him if we could get our money back since knowing what went on took the magic out of the show and spoiled our evening. he said no but he gave us all an autographed picture of him and sent us on our way.

it was a crappy picture and since i didn't see him sign it myself (magic!) i took it to a homeless shelter and wrote

"Thanks for getting me back on my feet. I'll always remember my buddies at the Victory Mission."
