Act like you know something sometime, Jeanette. Since you don't decide Halachic code, let's defer to Israel's Rabbinute who have never ruled on this consistantly on that difference. They have decided that a Man needs to be able to consent, and aware of the insemination in line with scriptures (Genesis specifically). The mother still has to be Jewish, and all that - you can't just make more Jews through science. That's outlawed.
