If you like those old lucasart/sierra adventure games you might want to try out some of the amateur adventure games you can find
here. I won't bother making a huge list of favored titles since the site it's self is organized well enough that deviating the good games from the bad is pretty easy. I'll only recommend one game (and its three subsequent sequels), 5 Days a Stranger. Comedy/horror, very well made, has it's funny moments and has it's genuinely frightening moments, I'm not ashamed to admit it made me jump once or twice.
