Actually, last I read was that he's not doing the C.H.U.D. remake.

I just don't understand the mentality of people wanting to do remakes. If I was a movie director with the option to do whatever I wanted, I would create something completely new rather than doing a remake or "reimagining" of an older movie. It's not like these guys are short on ideas... and even if I don't like everything they do, I'd much rather see a completely new movie by them instead of a remake. I thought House of 1000 Corpses was extremely weak compared to Devil's Rejects, but I'd watch it 100 times before I'd see the Halloween remake again.
