Long winded intros and CG cutscenes

Definitely - if done right. And if you can skip them it's fine. I guess my gripe is that they are now obligatory and often not done right. Maybe I'm just undiagnosed for A.D.D., but so often when I start a new game I'm yelling "let me fucking play already!" at the screen because I'm forced to sit through several minutes of CG 'plot development' about characters I have no reason to care about yet.
