Don't feel bad for admitting you liked a movie JJ. I liked it too. It was a big dumb movie about huge fucking robots busting shit up. And it was awesome. All of you should get off your high horses and relax a bit. It was a movie based on a TOY LINE from the eighties. Were you expecting it to have an award winning story? The special effects were great, the action was exciting and it was fun. What more do you want out of a summer blockbuster? If I want to see "No Country for Old Men" I'll go see it (and loved it btw), but what's wrong with also wanting to turn off your brain for a few hours and basking in the glow of huge fucking robots.
