It all just seems like some bizarre pyramid scheme. You play the game at a friend's house, find out you're really good at it, buy it yourself, learn EVERYTHING, get beaten by someone who later goes out and buys it.
There's something about 3D fighting games that gives such power to the player with the lesser experience.
