No, see, you just grab the pink bill and you know right away that it's $20. That's what we do here in Canada:

Blue for $5
Purple for $10
Green for $20
Red for $50
Brown for $100 (but you only see these if you are rich rich rich )

There used to be $2 and $1 bills that were orange and light green, respectively.

Coloured money is much easier because you just have to fan the bills in your wallet rather than open it up all the way.
