At what point did we decide to drop the apostrophe in Hallowe'en. I think I'm going to start right now and bring it back. On the other hand why is it needed.
I think it's an abbreviation of All Hallows Eve. Hallows Evening? Hallow E'en = Halloween.
I'm with you on bringing it back, much creepier.
