When I was living with my mother about 10 years ago (I was 9) we had about 12 cats in our house. I was very fond of them. I named three of them and my mother told me it was 'my responcibility' to feed and care for them, so I did. Of course, back then in Crete, there was no reason to keep the cats locked inside, so we left them roam as they wanted, seeing how there was like, 2 cars in the whole town. One day, a middle aged guy from the opposite building decided our street didn't need to have so many strays and left out poisoned meat. 10 out of 12 cats fell sick, and 8 died.
