Earlier in the season I said the Rays wouldn't be able to sustain their success for the rest of the year. Boy, was I wrong.

I don't even know who to root for. On hand you have the Rays, which can go for the "worst to first" story. On the other hand, the Philly fans have been through one hell of a championship drought (fuck the AFL and the USFL).

I guess the rays were more deserving. I hate them right now at the moment but I hope they'll win the world series. I also wouldn't mind seeing the phillies win it all, either because I've listened to my buddies from pennsylvania who have complained about the phillies organization over the years.

The red sox blew their chances to steal the series from the rays when they had the bases loaded up in top of 8th. I'm still impressed with them for making this far to 7th game of alcs. You can't argue that the comeback in game 5 was pretty magical. Also Pedroia has a chance of winning AL mvp. So its not a total loss.

I'm sorry, got something in my eye.
