Such is the whim of the economy.
To quote Lewis Black: "No one knows what's going on with the economy! It goes up, it goes down, it goes up, it goes down and no one knows why the F&*^ it happens! I know because I took economics in college and I'd explain it to you, but I failed that course. Not my fault. They taught it at 8:00 in the morning and there is nothing in this world that can be taught through one bloodshot eye."
