Actually, my violin instructor insisted that my brother and I attend a fiddling session along with his other students where we had to memorize, at 10:00 at night, goofy fiddling songs from memory (as the teacher did not like to use sheet music). One of the lyrics of the song we learned was "I wish I was a mole in the ground/ If I was a mole, I'd dig a great big hole/ I wish I was a mole in the ground". Another lyric was about wishing to be a lizard in the spring. I was so desperate to get out of there, I didn't notice my gloves were gone until I was in the car and we were leaving.
