Camp Snoopy went away in 2005. The people who own the Mall of America finally bought out the amusement park from its original owners, laid off all of the live performers (including me), and dropped the branding to cut costs. It was "The Park at MOA" for two and a half years, and Nickelodeon Universe officially opened in March 2008. Presumably Nickelodeon offered a better deal than the Snoopy people. But the jerks who run the place are still way stingy about entertainment costs (when you can just walk into the park for free, entertainment doesn't have a revenue column after all), so my band went from a regular job to playing a handful of gigs a year there to playing just New Year's Eve.
