Ugh. This is not what I had in mind as far as the look of the article...it's unfortunate that some of the pics won't show up (either due to size limits or some other technical problem), so the context and overall appearance are rather hideous. But as long as people are enjoying it, that's what counts. And I'm also very new to this type of thing (I've always been more of a spectator than a participant around the Internet,) so that's just newbie inexperience. And no, the blades are not sharp, though you could probably hurt somebody with it if you tried. I wanted them to look sharp without actually being so, and I smoothed the edges real fine so they wouldn't scratch. And this is definitely the best way to impress people by eating hors d'oeuvres.
