I mostly run XP on my machine at home but have Ubuntu installed just in case windows decides it wants a day off. Ubuntu installed faster and easier than any version of windows I have ever seen. The only thing keeping from deleting windows off my box and never looking back is that linux just wont play games. Yeah it has some good games but most major release titles wont run on it.
