Dan has been a supernatural enthusiast publicly for forever, he has been behind multiple disastrous television shows due to this obsession. He's for real, about his devotion, but the video seems to be self-parody.
EDIT: upon closer inspection it seems idiotically sincere. Everything from eastwardly being as proof of less pollution, to DIAMOND FILTRATION as a legitimate method to achive quality booze. Nobody can explain why the energy of crystals makes it better it just does!
