I'd have to say Nas... even though he may occassionally sell out, at least he's been somewhere which would allow himself to do so.
Jay-Z has never rapped about any sort of unique opinion, he's always been about as the earlier post states, "Money, cash, hoes."
In truth, most hip-hop is so trite these days, if I see one more video with girls in bikinis, over-sized jerseys, and platinum chains I'm going to puke. There is good hip-hop out there, you just have to find it somewhere other than the radio and Mtv.
Drop the "ice"... diamonds are a Girl's best friend, guys.
