The difference is that, in the right field environment, camouflage is logical, practical and WORKS. That's the first time I ever heard of the "invincibility" thing amongst U.S. soldiers. People seem to confuse the definition of "camouflage". It doesn't necessarily mean the fauna-patterned colors/pattern of a BDU (Battle Dress Uniform). If you wanted to invade a bread factory where hostages were being held, the perfect camouflage would be a bread truck with guys in bakers uniforms driving, NOT an APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) with guys in BDUs.
