here's an anecdote:
when i was in the sixth grade, my friend brenda told me her ex-boyfriend todd hated me and she hated him because of it. two days later, she was going with him again. two weeks later, they broke up. the next day, he passed me a note that said he had liked me all along, but brenda had told him i hated him, so he "went with" her again instead. now, she's married with three kids and he's living the gay life, managing a wendy's.

moral:
none of it fucking matters. both of them are losers, and you probably won't even hang around them once you get to high school.
