MY DOGS IN THE MOVIES

Blockbuster Blues: While my dogs have come very close to being in some major motion pictures, they sadly do not appear in the final versions of any of these films. We have only fond memories of the work, however, and have no ill will towards the studios, who have kindly allowed us to show some film stills. And now, by popular demand, we're offering crassly commercial dog merchandise!

Why this thrilling rescue sequence was cut to make more screen time for Kirsten Dunst, I'll never know. If the box office is disappointing, don't blame my little thespians.

This scene was too frightening for young children, and threatened an R rating from the MPAA. Despite its intensity, the scene was filmed without harming the little guys.

In what was to be a dramatic surprise ending, heroes from the dog planet put a stop to the evil ape general. Unfortunately Mark Wahlberg insisted it be his character who saves the day, so the dogs once again hit the cutting room floor.

Some of the happiest acting moments of the dogs' lives was during Babe II. Even after the huge success of his first film, Babe was a great collaborator, and not at all an egomaniac. We'll always treasure our time on the set of this film, which was trashed by the critics and unfortunately only seen by five people.
