How the hell could you not see what was going on? Do you have cataracts? Besides that, it's not like it was too terribly hard to guess what was going on by the sound. It was meant to look and feel like a student flim kind of project, that's why it was so great. It would have been gay if everything were a slow motion pan to close-up on the characters, and all that shit. The film is about putting the terror element back in horror, not the blood, which you so lovingly refer to as "gore". There was blood in TCM, not guts, or brains, or even much flying blood.
