Old Apr 2nd, 2004, 12:14 PM        When Sovereignity gets hnded over to iraq
What will that mean?

A serious question, not flippancy. I have yet to find any good reporting on the question.

What decisions will the interim governing council be responsible for? What will we be empowerd to do if we don't like their decision? What will our role be? What could we do if they asked us to leave? What would we do if they asked us to do anything at all we are not willing to do?

Is there a plan B? Suppose for sake of argument they did ask us to do something we are not prepared to do, what then? Imagine how bad it would be if we had to retake control, remove sovereignity?

What do we do if civil war erupts?

A short version of all these questions: What will our relationship with the governing council be after the transition?
