Right. But for some reason the book feels the need to include Blink 182, Jesus Lizard, Hole, etc.? If it's going to be a book about influences, why include only the popular ones? Or ones that influence metal in NO GODDAMNED WAY? They've listed candlemass as one of the biggest founders of doom metal, yet they feel they need to include only a blurb about them anywhere else in the book? There's plenty of
good modern bands included, but they were "discharged" from the list. What the fuck? The book was apparently written by four guys that edit Metal Hammer magazine. For four guys who write about metal, they sure know how to spill it out their ass. The only thing that made this purchase worthwhile was that they've included some bands i'v never even heard of, and some of their influences, so i'll kep busy looking for new stuff.
