GBA and flash carts

I am seriously considering getting a GBA sp and a 256mbit flash cart. anyone used flash carts before??? How well do they work?? Is 256 enough??

I really want to be able to play some of these gba games as well as emulate old nes games on gba. but it is gonna cost like 250 total I dont know if it is gonna be worth it for a toy that I might not even use that much. Any thoughts?
