If you have never heard of the Phenomenauts...
they are a local band from right here on Earth, and they are looking for a go / no go to rock.
Okay in all seriousness, they are a space/science themed punk/rockabilly/surf band that has played the Warped Tour and has also played with bands such as the Aquabats, Demented are GO, and the Groovie Ghoulies (just to name a few). They are launching their first headlining tour this week and you really shouldn't miss it.
They'll be in the Los Angeles area this weekend (friday - pomona, saturday - el monte, sunday - malibu) and head across the country from there. Check out their site -
