here is a funny story
about what is funny.
I sipped on that wine, and looked at my date.
So here is where he said
He wanted to know me.
and added
"what do you find funny?"
"plenty of things...the regular humor"
he wasn't satisfied
and felt patronized.
"like what?" He reittorated.
"regular stuff. car crashes and war scenes,
warhol and dahmer."
I had lost interest,
he was clearly horrified.
"you're a bitch, and i want to go home"
So we walked for a street or two,
then he said once more
'whats funny to you?"
"Racism. world war II. Gawddamn, that was a funny war"
And I saw that night,
a kid fall off his skateboard,
He laughed and smiled, elbows ableeding.
and I laughed.
"whats funny about that"
of course.. "getting up"
