Old May 1st, 2007, 12:26 AM        NEW FEATURE: "SPIDER-MAN 3: THE RETAIL INVASION!"
Spider-Man 3 is upon us, and whether we're ready for it or not, so is a veritable shit-ton of tie-in merchandise for the movie. Here's my coverage of some of the newest Spidey stuff to hit store shelves.

How long is that damned slip 'n slide? They make it look like it stretches all the way out into the Sahara desert.

When I ws a youngster, inapropriate and innacurate merchandising of Superheros used to send me into a rage. Thank God there was a whoe lot less of it back then. If you transported nine year old me to the present day, I imagine li'l Max would go a killing spree.

Or at least ave the kind of public melt down tantrum nine year olds are supposed to have given up when they were four.

Well, ain't it a bitch to be the best, huh?

I also noticed Burger King had these midget (super-deformed, perhaps?) toys as well with typical, single features. There's also Spider-Man LEGOs but fucking those up would just be impossible.

I'm really getting a kick out of these stupid toy articles, and I look forward to reading more.

I think the costume is a neat idea, but it's a little premature.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it's adjustable or they just make it look extra long on the box? I definitely don't remember the original slip 'n slides being anywhere near that long though.

Thanks and yeah I've seen the new Burger King toys. There are also new midget ones that come in cereal packs. I think they're water guns that you can squeeze or somethin.

I just hope I get to see somebody wearing it so I can point and laugh... then they can add some extra water to the pool with their tears.

Wait, so Band-Aids are called "plasters" in the UK? Wow... you learn something new every day.

(and yes, those are much better than the Spidey ones, but that's cuz I love monsters)
