Old Apr 15th, 2003, 08:16 PM        WHAT I SAW TODAY
Today I went to a sporting goods store called Modell's. I wanted to buy a football for some reason. I noticed a little black kid snooping by the door with some shitty skateboard, 2 visors, and some CD case thing. As soon as I got out near the parking lot I saw him head staight out of the door.

I looked and saw him running and two of the workers chasing him. I was too far away from where I was standing to grab him. So the worker gets into his car and tries to scare him by driving by. It actually kind of worked. He dropped some of the stuff and started running away.

When I was riding down the street I saw him running. He must have been 10 or 11. That is pretty young to be trying to steal over 100 bucks of stuff. (I don't steal and I never will) Out of the corner of my eye, I saw another car telling him to get it. I'm pretty sure it was him mom. She didn't want him to pay, so she put him up to it.
That is just sickening. He got away with the CD case and a visor.

I thought it was pretty messed up. If I was closer, or near the door when I saw him running out, I would have grabbed him and put him back in. Next time if I see some kid snooping around, I'm going to make sure he doesn't steal it.

The End.

That "I don't steal and I never will" bit in the middle was a little suspicious... ;(

My friend was tellin me about at a hastings were they work some 10 year old kids(maybe younger) went to rent a game, they somehow got behind the counter with the cashier to "help" her find the game they were looking for. Well they both ended up grabbing handfuls of games and bolting for the door, it just so happens that hastings has a policy that they cannot touch a theif, they can only ask them to stop. Anyways the kids ran out the door and right into the really young girl scout selling cookies. they dropped games everywere and ran off. The perps were never apprehended and the girl scout was proclaimed a hero.

the moral is. stealing from hastings should be easy.

Every store should have a girl scout as a guard. I never heard of Hastings as a renal store, only Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. Hastings is a bar on South Street around here.

My old Advanced Computer Graphics teacher's name was Mr. Hastings....

I saw a man once steal a bunch of women's clothing in a thrift store, he was like 37, he got away too.

Especially if it's a hot 18-year-old wearing her 10-year-old sister's uniform. :friends :hot

I worked at Kaybee for about two weeks and there was some thief that grabbed a bunch of action figures and when someone noticed they yelled at her to stop. She took off and the manager yelled at the cashier to stop the thief as she was running by her. The cashier grabbed the chicks ponytail and ripped it back, knocking the thief back on her ass.

What a great sight that was.

My friend works at a game store, but he also used to work weekends at a flea market selling some of the more worthless crap from the store.

They put the actual game CDs in a big CD binder, but leave the cases out for people to look at them. A few months ago some dude picks up a game, examines it, then when he thinks my friend isn't looking, walks about fifty feet away. He opens the case, waits about fifteen minutes, then comes back and throws it on the table.

"Yo, this ain't got no game in it."
"That's because we keep the games back here so people can't steal them."
"You callin' me a thief?"
"Well, I did just see you take the game over there and come back."

And the guy went away.

I'm sorry, that was anti-climactic
I'll tell you all the story about the holdup later

I worked in a poor bastard grocery store. People would steal all the time. I remember watching a lady hide ciagarettes under her baby in the stroller.
We definetly didn't have a hands off policy for our shop lifters. I watched many of them get in the cop car all bloody. I rarely got in the way. $3.50 an hour isn't enough money to be playing commando, not to mention I stole as much as any other poor ******.
