Do you REALLY know the libertarian party?

To start this off, I will quote the most idiotic thing I'ver ever read...

"The Bush Administration agenda isn't conservative Republicanism, and it's not radical Republicanism -- it's extreme libertarianism." - John Kerry (D), with regards to the question of what the problem with Bush is.

Why: WHO THE HELL COULD CALL BUSH A LIBERTARIAN!!! I swear, I don't think he has ever read the LP's platform.

Anyone who confuses a neocon with a libertarian should not even be considering running for president.

Which brings up the question: how many people really know the official libertarian stance on issues? Obviously this guy doesn't: and Vince, despite the fact that he identifies himself as a libertarian, has said more than one thing that leans more towards bushican (neo-libertarian?). An example would be that he actually supports the Patriot Act and war on Iraq.

Those of you who have never looked up on the LP, I beg you to read the platform here. I'm not saying it will change your viewpoint completely, but if all you have based your knowledge off of was Vinth, you may be enlightened in a few areas.

I've always equated libertarianism to the concept of little to no government control over any issues. The only purpose of the government is only to ensure safety and security. Like the old adage, "You stay out of my backyard, and I'll stay out of yours".

Many of the NF members are libertarians.

I used to label myself Libertarian before it became as meaningless and varied as the term facist. Now every psycho and halfwit labels themselves as a "sect" of Libertarianism and it is no longer associated with the principles and platforms that I liked them for. Of course the actual party is still quite good and I do agree with them on their issues. You can go to www.lp.org for more information of the Libertarian party and what it truly stands for.

Or you could read practically anything by Locke on government to learn about the fundamental basics of a Libertarian government.

He doesn't actively support the Patriot Act, he just think Clinton getting a blowjob and lieing about it was much bigger deal than any of the P.A.'s violations of civil rights, he has no problem at all with a restrictive, violent government as long as he agrees with them, and he finds the pennies he's forced to sell out for welfare a far bigger crime than imprisoning American citizens without charges or access to a lawyer on secret evidence. Oh, and he thinks Janet Reno was a much more dangerous attorney general than Ashcroft.

These are the reasons I think Vinth doesn't know his ass from his elbow as far as Liberatarianism goes. It's just one of the many, many ways in which he's an idiot.
