tattttooooo question - does anyone know?

Is there a way to use like... a "branding" technique to make a tattoo?
The needling it in seems time consuming, and I am impatient. Of course if I get someone else to do it, I am sure that will be ok. But, if I want to do it to myself, I would prefer it to be fairly quick. So is there a way to sort of "burn" a tattoo in and not just end up with a scar, but an actual ink? Can I make a stamp is what I guess I am asking.
