who knows whats best, the Magic 3.1 no-swap, the no solder v5/6/7, or the slide card with swap magic boot disks. And how easy is it to fuck up your staysh if you can't solder?

it's virtually impossible. just make sure you do the modification on a nice soft carpet and the more freon you spray the board with the better.
