I remember when I was pretty young and watching Tales from the Crypt and one episode stood out very distinctively from the rest. All I can really remember is some woman becomes overly obsessive with some guy and he eventually goes to the extremity of trying to poison her to get rid of her. She ends up switching glasses with him for some reason I can't remember in which he dies and she ends up killing herself and haunting him in the afterlife. That and another episode with some robber who's head explodes from his super hearing (which he somehow obtained through a wish so he could hear the combination lock of safe's....) :confused::blah

It's still pretty good, and there is a very surprising number of recognizable actors. It's not as gritty and violent as modern HBO shows, but it's still meant for older audiences.

i didn't realize the place was so money-grubbing

like six flags in DC is reasonable by comparison, simply because they don't ask for an extra dollar every Goddamn ride just to put away your cup

well see we got lucky because we got season passes to the MD one, which was $15 cheaper each and allowed us to go to any other six flags

we also got this biiig cup that is a $12 one-time charge and then $1 every time you refill it, which is neat

only, instead of just let you hold onto the cup, in new jersey they strip it from you every ride and demand you rent out one of their one-use lockers conveniently stationed outside the ride, ones that're a dollar a pop, basically making you pay to go on every non-carousel ride in the damn place

they also offer all-day lockers at $12 for the cheapest, smallest one. oh and if you leave the cup in the locker for ~2 hours they reserve the right to dump that bitch and throw it away. so basically what we'd do is just put it in a locker, ride two or three things, then have to go all the way back before two hours were up. we got lucky since we went on a tuesday, but i could only imagine how awful it'd be if there were hour-long waits

if they're going to go all rollercoaster tycoon they might as well charge us to use the bathroom while they're at it

WTF is all this "cup" tomfoolery? I don't fucking understand what is going on and what you have to pay an extra dollar for, or why you have to keep your cup in a special locker, but to be honest I think it's just one of those things that I will never understand and I don't want anyone to waste their time explaining it to me. :(
