Toward the end of my first career I had uniform problems too. But they were the opposite of yours. I found that I had to PT like a mofo and still the laundry kept shrinking my uniforms. In the outfit I worked for it was damnably difficult to find trousers above a 36" waist unless you were in Washington, DC where all the senior staffers were.
